The presence of the Rocca family in Barbaresco has been attested since 1834. From the second half of the 19th century, viticulture already played an important role in the family business budget. In 1958 Francesco Rocca (1907 – 1978), Bruno’s father, decided to move the company from the center of the town to the Rabajà area, continuing to deliver the grapes to the social winery. Bruno Rocca, born in 1951, changed history in 1978 by starting to make wine under the family name and modernizing the company with a view to renewal and rediscovery of tradition. In the 2000s, Bruno Rocca’s children Luisa and Francesco joined the company. Today, the company has approximately 15 hectares, divided into different areas, including the Rabajà, Currà, San Cristoforo, Fausoni and Marcorino crus.
