Quila was founded in 2019 as an experimental project by Bisso A., former winemaker of a company in the Barolo area and current winemaker of 3 other companies in Neive. The company cultivates about 2.0 ha, divided between Roero (Guarene), Langhe (Cossano Belbo) and Monferrato (Calamandrana). Quila has been certified organic since 2023. The company focuses on the study and cultivation of native varieties that have almost been lost or recently rediscovered, such as Moretto and Uvalino. Of the "normal" varieties, Bisso works with Favorita, Moscato, Dolcetto and Nebbiolo. The winery moved to Neive from the 2023 harvest, which also made it possible to produce Barbaresco, with the first vintage (2021), vinified at a nearby company, already on the market.
