The company was founded in 1914, when Lino Icardi started a small wine production in the municipality of Castiglione Tinella, intended for simple family consumption. A few years later, in 1920, the company obtained the license to produce wine. Starting in the 1960s, with the entry into the winery of Cav. Pierino Icardi, the direct sale of wine began, made only with estate-owned grapes. Today the company is managed by Pierino's children: Claudio, oenologist, and Mariagrazia, sales manager. The company has 65 hectares of land, of which 50 are vineyards and 15 are woods. The philosophy of the winery includes a completely organic management of the vineyards.
